Aubrey Plaza
Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984 is a stand-up comedian and actor recognized for her dry sense of humor. She is the character April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation. Her first web series was the Jeannie Tate Show after she performed sketch, improv and slapstick at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. After her debut she went on to was in Judd Apatow Funny People and Scott Pilgrim's vs. World. It is fitting to celebrate her birth today. Aubrey Christina Plaza (born in Wilmington Delaware) is the daughter Bernadette Plaza who is an attorney by profession and David Plaza a financial consultant. Her mother was Irish and English, while her father comes from Puerto Rico. Plaza graduated at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and was a Catholic all-girls high school in 2006 following graduation in 2002. As a high-school senior, Plaza was the President of the Wilmington Drama League and her school's Student Government. In 2004 while she was in her second year of college, Plaza was struck by a stroke, which resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia, as well as a prolonged period of paralysis. Now, she is fully recovered. Since 2004, Plaza has been doing sketch and improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City. The New York location has seen Plaza been performing stand-up comics at The Improv as well as the Laugh Factory. Plaza appeared in the role of Robin Gibney in E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street, The Jeannie Tate Show as well as the debut episode Terrible Decisions starring Ben Schwartz. In CollegeHumor Troopers she played a satirical science-fiction character called the Princess. Plaza's saxophone debut was in the film Cassorla Bona Fide, 2014. She first came to prominence in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings from 2012. HarmonQuest featured Plaza in 2016 in the role of Hawaiian Coffee the gnome. Also, she portrayed Aaron Burr in Drunk History as well as Cat Adams for Season 11 of C.B.S. Television show Criminal Minds. The show's 12th season saw her had a great comeback on the part.
